She is the artist and musician who creates the art and music pages using story narrative, science, nature, history, poetry, and biographies that bring the Classical composers to life for students.

She has not just taught but also nurtured and inspired the musical development and musical journeys of thousands of children and adults. Her music classes are filled with warm moments of love, fun, and laughter. She is a much-beloved instructor.

Miss Joy’s pedagogy encompasses the technique and rigorous music theory advanced music requires. Her classes are also filled with the warmth and nurturing that students need to flourish and continue on that difficult journey of mastering hard music.

Miss Joy studied Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development and Psychology, Suzuki Pedagogy, Pestalozzi Pedagogy, successfully home-schooled three children from pre-K until they entered university ,and directed the music department of two private, local arts and music studios. She is a passionate pianist who enjoys playing Gospel, Classical, Blues, Jazz, Movie music, Broadway musicals, and Folk.
